For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to work with animals and children. While taking courses on child development and business at Moorpark Community College, I’ve always worked pet, house and babysitting for relatives and family friends.
My family always had many pets, including dogs (large and small), birds, fish and even a tortoise. Growing up, you could find me cuddling with the pet. Name the pet and I can care for it. I have experience with all kinds of animals; from a blind, diabetic cat to a 100 pound Rottweiler to a duck!
Before starting Kelsey kare, I have worked as a Child Care Assistant at Sycamore Canyon Elementary School and a Campus Supervisor at Glenwood Elementary School. Although I loved both jobs, I admit that I love being a child care assistant more, because I get to play with the kids so much. I have worked with kindergartners to fifth graders, both as a babysitter and as a Child Care Assistant. I have also sat for babies as young as 3 months old. I learn rather fast on how to take care of animals and to deal with both animals and children.
As you can probably tell, I absolutely love being around kids and animals. Working with them is so rewarding and so much fun. I love seeing the smiles on a child’s face and getting the licks from a happy dog. I love what I do and wouldn’t trade it for a million dollars! I can’t wait to meet and befriend all the smiling faces out there!
